Katia Pilati
I am Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology and Social Research (DSRS) of the University of Trento. Before joining DSRS, I was a Marie Curie fellow at the Department of Political Science at the University of Geneva (Switzerland), and a FRS-FNRS research fellow at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium). My main research interests are social movements, civil society, civic and political participation, social networks, migration and political integration. Currently, I am Principal Investigator of the project Collective Actions in the Labour Market Field, exploring workers’ collective actions in Italy since 2008. My research appeared in international journals including Acta Political, Acta Sociologica, European Journal of Political Research, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Global Networks, Mobilization, Ethnic and Racial Studies, Political Studies, Social Movement Studies. I wrote three books (Armando 2010; Palgrave Macmillan 2016; Il Mulino 2018).
