Dorte Sophie Fische
Dorte Fischer holds a PhD in Sociology. She is a guest reseacher at the Department of Sociology and Social Research of the University of Trento, Italy and a member of the Working Group Macro Violence at the Hamburg Institute of Social Research (HIS), Germany. Her research interests include the political consequences of social movements, protest policing, and political violence. Her doctoral research examined the role of violent protest events in political decision-making processes that aim at police reform. Before starting her PhD, she worked as a policy advisor in the Parliament of Hamburg. She holds a double Master's degree in European Studies and Political Science from the Universities of Maastricht, the Netherlands and Cologne, Germany.Â
